About Us
We live in New Zealand, and we care about the people who call this place home.
Vision Times NZ aims to tell the story of a changing New Zealand in Chinese, while staying connected with those who live, work and study here, as well as those preparing to make New Zealand part of their journey.
We follow the news, but we also care about the people behind it. From public policy, transport, immigration and everyday practical information to community stories, people and daily life, we want to do more than tell you what happened. We also want to help answer a more personal question: What does this mean for my life?
We believe good journalism is not only about speed. It also requires accuracy, independence, understanding and a human touch.
When verifying information, we value government announcements, official data, legislation and other reliable sources. Wherever possible, we go back to primary sources. Where uncertainty remains, we would rather be appropriately cautious than present conclusions with more certainty than the facts support.
In a rapidly changing world, we hope to be a trusted Chinese-language window into New Zealand—helping Chinese-speaking readers better understand this country while bringing more local stories into view.
